The thing about me is that I love building something you rarely see in this country. So, when I bought home a 1989 Nissan Patrol Super Safari, the vision was set. A complete OEM-style restoration, done the right way with attention to every detail.

The team and I got started with a very detailed process of denting and a paint job. This brought back the exterior to its original form. Then we moved to the inside, and the interior was completely redone. The cabin received full sound dampening to improve comfort and reduce road noise, along with proper undercoating to protect the vehicle and ensure long-term durability. We refreshed the interior further with new carpeting and a fresh roof lining, giving the cabin a lively and toned look.

What truly sets this one apart is that we sourced every single part for this project from Dubai, down to the smallest details. Even the tires and the wheels were imported. We had to ensure that the car retained an authentic and period-correct look.

The team then got started to fully rebuild the iconic TD42 engine, paired with a manual transmission, so it stays true to the original driving experience. The TD42 is one of the most respected diesel engines in the patrol lineup, particularly known for its reliability and torque.

Restoring a car to this level requires patience. A lot of patience, resources, and a very clear vision. The vision was to bring back the Nissan Patrol Super Safari to life, the way it was meant to be, and it wouldn’t be a lie to conclude that we managed to do so
